Who has the best in town?
AC has/had a great 7 stars lounge with a nice menu.
Normally I don't care or go to the lounges, but this time I was starving and didn't have time for a restaurant. I assumed they had something edible, I assumed wrong.
Honestly it seems like a place for people who went completely broke but need free drinks.
It's a slap in the face for anyone, especially 7 stars players.
I thought Rio had a decent diamond lounge, up the elevators....Right?
That's the best thing about it. Being up that exclusive cool private elevator in the corner, with only two buttons, one for the floor you're on, and the other for the one you're not. Up to the Diamond lounge, down to leave it, only thing that elevator does. But unless something has changed a lot in the last few months, in my opinion it goes downhill when you go up it, and once you've pushed the button in the special elevator, for quality & variety of food or other amenities, I wouldn't particularly recommend it. Pretty much chips & dip & rabbit food, supplemented with limited heated finger food for about 90 minutes like what you complained about at the Paris. I'd rank it below Harrah's LV, and probably put Caesars Palace first.
Rio's D-Lounge also doesn't provide wifi, or at least still didn't the last time I was in it. I think it is the only one now that doesn't. And the cell signal up in that secluded part of the property sucks eggs. They do have a few comped computer terminals in it with online access, but you won't be able to do much of anything with your own device.
But you should probably try it to see how it is for you, or if maybe it has changed (I doubt it) and to check-off the box for having taken the shortest elevator ride in town, and maybe the world.
I love chicken wings, and if five places within walking distance ('cept for Rio) give me FREE wings, swedish meatballs, teriyaki skewers, desserts, veggies 'n dip, then I'll be there every day. I'm a drinker, so sitting at the bar in the DL at Harrahs LV, watching the game and eating wings is like heaven to me. Everyone in there is in a good mood. I went to a DL every day I was Diamond, sometime two, sometimes three Diamond Lounges! The drinks come faster than when I'm sitting at a table game, quality was better (not watered down) and there was wings! I like buffets, and all the DLs are little buffets....what's not to love? It's free you guys!
I agree service at Paris was the worst of the group. The elevator at Rio adds to the exclusivity. (Anyone know what that space was before it was a DL? Building an elevator dedicated to a single room seems wasteful...or brilliant) Caesars was busiest, in fact often there's a line to get in. I thought the atmosphere and seating arrangement at Caesars and Harrahs was best, and was worst at Flamingo. Food was best at Caesars and Harrahs in general. I went once to the DL at Harrahs Laughlin and was pleased to see make-your-own sandwiches and soup.

PH lounge is still a great place to watch a sporting event.

You guys are cracking me up...hating on free food! Free drinks! The gall!

I was commenting only on Paris in particular. Well below the others in hours available and non-food food, and not to the standards of the hotel itself. Not trying to look a gift horse in the mouth in mentioning it, but overall a discredit to the standard they themselves have set.
I love chicken wings,
[Insert yellow faced >snickering< thingy.]Even my neighbor's half-feral cat would pause about whether to see that as 'food' and the ones they put out always made me think of a dishpan of rat legs. From morbidly anorexic rats. But I'm so glad you like them, so I don't have to!

Yes, I'm making fun of y'all.

And that would be why they quote YOU about $43,732 a night (or something like that) to crash at the IP, or Quad, or Linq, or whatever the fork they're calling that glorified hostel/dormitory this week, Zip. Sign in to Diamond lounges about 1,000 times a year & one's ADT is likely about $0.03. Yes, I'm still making fun of y'all, but also about three-quarters serious about that part.I totally agree that Flamingo is the rump of the bunch, at least every time I went in there before I swore off it altogether. I don't know why it is the clubhouse for the most scruffy of the local degenerate Diamond card people, but it seems that it is, in spite of the fact that it isn't one of the easiest for them to self-park and get to. And it seems to rub off on some of the staff & furnishings & whatnot.

Waiting a while is fine, but if nobody knows, and I suspect none of us do, you know you're now required to eventually answer that for us. I assume you posed the question because you do know the answer, right? Right?!Sign in to Diamond lounges about 1,000 times a year & one's ADT is likely about $0.03.
I grabbed the perks where I saw 'em. And I enjoyed the heck of 'em. Staying at the Quad ain't a perk.

You stay there more than I do, how about you ask and report back?
I forgot about the PH DL. That was a good one too.
For those bashing all the DLs, I think it's great for CET to offer it being as close to bankruptcy as they are. Even though requirements to get Diamond have gone up, and quality has gone down...what does MGM offer? Wynn? Or Venetian? Stations? Coast properties?
